WE MAKE IT EASY TO JUMP IN! Whether it’s time, money or paper plates, one shift at the football game or an entire season, you can sign up on ONE PLACE, 24/7. It’s a little site called SIGN-UP GENIUS and throughout the year PVMB committee chairs will update the site with their needs and we will reach out with information about what’s required and when. Go to the site, click the dates/times/items that you’re willing to donate and we’re off to the races! We even email you a couple days prior to remind you of your commitment

Here are JUST A FEW activities that require parent volunteers:

Beyond our student musicians themselves, our world class Food and Hospitality Committees are the essence of how PV appears to the rest of the world! They collect food and donations to purchase food so that we can host our own members, visiting ensembles, judges and paying fans at games, competitions and events like Homecoming and the Spring Musical. Donations are important and strongly urged from everyone; valuable time helping to prepare, distribute and serve at each event is ALWAYS needed.

Football Games - Marching Vikings typically perform before the game at approximately 6:30 at home games; and half-time at away games. IF there is a special occasion, i.e., Homecoming, Senior Night, Band Night, the Vikings will perform at half time. The band  sits On PV’s  side at the far40 yard line.  Boosters usually sit around that area.  Wear your orange and brown/black!

Home games will be held October 4th Band Night, October 18 Homecoming, and October 25th Senior Recognition.

The band performs at their specific time slot and each show is VERY closely monitored to assure precision. It is a good idea to get to the stadium early: once ANY band has taken the field, spectators are not allowed to enter/leave their seats. Competitions are not free of charge; prices can range from $10-15 per person. Boosters usually try to sit together -  Wear  your orange and brown/black! Finally, Marching band is a sport and Marching Viking Parents are as sportsmanlike as they come! Cheer for EVERY band, make every unit feel their hard work and art are appreciated. Demonstrate the behavior we want to experience from others.

Marching Band Practices are  Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 6-9 PM.

On Thursday nights the  parents generally meet AT 8:30-8:45 and watch the final run-through of the performance.

You can also purchase candy grams at that time. Candy grams are usually sold at competitions and benefit the home show sponsor.  Prices can range from $1-$3:  You  pick a candy you would like to  purchase, place a sticker with your child’s name, your name and message on it and the  candy is delivered to the kids at the end of  the night. On Thursdays preceding a competition we sell them to make it more convenient for YOU and keep additional fundraising dollars with the Boosters, where it belongs!

is always needed to help load, transport and unload musical equipment for the pit (marimbas and other auxiliary percussion instruments). Get information/instructions from any Boosters Officer. It’s easy to Volunteer, for one competition or a whole season! Sign up here
